Email: Anand_Prabhu[DOT]Subramanian[AT]alcatel-lucent[DOT]com Earlier, I worked with Prof. Samir R. Das in Wireless Networking and Simulation Lab (WINGS) at Stony Brook. I joined Stony Brook University in Fall 2004. I got my M.S. degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University in May 2007. I completed my undergraduate studies (B.E.) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Anna University, Chennai in India. My research interests span in the broad area of networked systems, in particular, Wireless Networking, Experimental Computer Systems, Pervasive and Mobile Computing with emphasis on system design, experimentation, measurement and performance evaluation. In particular, my current research focuses on improving capacity and connectivity in WiFi based ubiquitous wireless access networks. Currently, I am working on improving capacity in multi-radio wireless mesh networks using multiple channels and directional antenna support and designing better connectivity mechanisms for vehicular network access to the mesh backbone using directional communication. I also work in the area of dynamic spectrum management and reconfigurable software defined radio development with a focus on opportunistic reuse of spectrum white spaces to improve capacity in cellular networks.
